Bread and Butter Pudding
This is one of my favorite desserts. the texture is great and you can add sugar to suit your taste.
Ingredients
bread
butter
raisins
marachsimo cherries
jam
vanilla essence
sugar
pineapple slices (optional)
Method
Grease dish
slice and butter bread
layer sliced bread in dish
sprinkle sugar,cherries and raisins
repeat till dish is full
cover the top with jam and (pineapple slices - optional)
mix milk and eggs add half teaspoon of vanilla essence
(use one egg to a tin of evaporated milk)
pour milk mixturte on top untill dish is full
(make sure that the milk covers the sliced bread)
place dish in a treay of water and bake for 90 minutes at 320 degrees.
I prefer serving pudding cold.
Remove from pan.
Yield two small loaves
